"Black Exhaustion" by Noel Anderson

Kooperation mit dem Künstlerhaus und dem Künstler Noel Anderson

At the end of September, we were invited to Noel Anderson’s art exhibition ‘Black Exhaustion’ at Künstlerhaus. Noel and his assistants were still in the process of preparing the exhibition and hanging up the tapestry while we were there.
Noel gave us information about his works of art and told us about himself.

Some of his art is inspired by the colours and designs in children’s colouring books, some, by movies and some, by NBA. He uses his laptop to mix and experiment with the colours to make pictures, which he afterwards sends to his weavers to be woven into a tapestry- his work of art.
A particular sculpture in the Metropolitan Art Musuem always leaves a powerful impression on him. This inspired one of his works of art hanging in the Künstlerhaus
